Grossly overpriced. Powder coating chipped on top corners of all 4 posts. On one post, when scewing in the ball top the captive nut came loose so ball top can't be removed. Another post had no captive nut at all so had to enlarge hole, bolt ball top to washer and bond in place.

I phoned to check on availability of a product: old style Dutch trowel, and was told that it would be received from the supplier at the end of that week and shipped out straight away. So I placed my order and over a week later hadn't heard anything. I called to be told that the supplier hadn't delivered. Now I understand that it was the suppliers fault, but no communication about the delay and customer service person to regularly use the phrase "no problem" when in fact there was a problem was irritating.

When we enquired why polly tunnel had not been delivered as the month we were told re delivery was up to ge told it had already been delivered which it hadn't. You had to investigate and apologise. 1 parcel was delivered next day from rest

Really quite poor. My recent orders have been very heavily delayed with the delivery dates being rescheduled numerous times, often by weeks. The products are quite expensive and I would expect a better more timely delivery service.

I ordered a spade and received a ‘carefully packed’ trug meant for someone else. I reported this and was informed that I would be told that I would be told when it was to be collected. This did not happen and was, luckily, in so I could hand the income to item back. I was also told that the new item would be dispatched immediately and I should expect it in a ‘couple of days’. When this didn’t happen it then took another two phone calls over the following 4 days to get the item sent to me. Eventually arriving over a week after originally promised. Pretty poor service all round. Also Harris seem to have an odd system where you pay for an item that is later refunded and you then repay at a later date, really can’t understand why that is?

I am still yet to receive the product I ordered despite placing the order months ago. Communication has been sporadic, and I have had to chase the order a number of times. The service revived has been poor.

After ordering the raised beds, they were delayed 3 times, without further updates. I then cancelled the order. A refund was given

We are very pleased with the product but we have had a long wait for the delivery and it all arrived in separate deliveries and to the wrong side of the house. Now waiting for surplus struts to be collected.

I have always had excellent service from Harrod Horticultural before, but my experience with a recent order was not good. Firstly the delivery was delayed, then only two of three parcels were delivered. When it all eventually arrived, there was an item missing and I discovered that wrongly sized corner connectors had been sent for the veg cage I had ordered. Customer services were initially very helpful and apologetic, but I was then sent only three correctly sized corners. When I queried this, I was told they didn't have any more in stock – why they bothered sending just three I'm not sure! The fourth corner did eventually arrive a few days later and the cage is now fine, but sadly I was left far from impressed with the service this time round.

The quality of the goods is great but the customer service is poor and reliability is poor. I ordered some hoops and the website gave no indication that they were out of stock. However it’s now a month since I ordered and I’ve been sent an email each week for the past 3 weeks saying that they’re out of stock and will be delivered next week - but I then get another email the following week to say the same thing again. They’ve delivered other items in my order including the bars for the hoops, so I can’t even cancel and order from someone else. I’d like to say this is the first time I’ve had this experience with Harrod Horticultural but it isn’t - last time I ended up cancelling and ordering from another supplier as it went on for months. Be honest and tell me whether they’re in stock when I order and give me a realistic delivery date, or if they’re unexpectedly out of stock when you come to fill the order then again give me a realistic date for when they will be in - that would give me the opportunity to plan appropriately and to place my order with another supplier if the wait doesn’t meet my needs. The current approach is the opposite of customer-focused and now means I have no faith in the company despite the excellent quality of the goods....

The order was for filled in two parts, the actual oberlisk arrived on time and in good condition however the ground anchors to accompany this did not, apparently the anchors were sent to the DW Freight depot in Nuneaton in error and we had to wait for their delivery, when the package did arrive the package looked as if it had been opened and resealed with parcel tape the contents were not the anchors but three cosmetic Flawless Dermaplanes so yet another phone call and we had to wait another 7 days for the replacements anchors to arrive, they came by a different carrier!! all is well now but it was not up to your usual standard.

The packaging that we use for transporting our products has been tested for many years and the carriers have clearly mishandled your goods. All of our carriers have a list of our expectations and it is frustrating for us when issues such as these happen as we cannot directly affect this part of the service once the goods leave our warehouse. Ordered two corten steel bowls, eventually received one and cancelled the second. Please adjust your website to indicate out of stock items which will avoid frustration and poor customer service.

My order took much much longer than was said on the website. Because I really needed the product, I called the customer service and I have been told that they will send it in the same day with one day delivery. Took another week to get it. Happy with the product, not happy with the delivery and customer service.

My delivery was split into parts and very late. I was told several times that it would be with me the following day and it wasn’t.

I ordered two potting trays on 21st March. One was to be an Easter present for my daughter, the other for myself. Expected delivery was a few days. Over a period of weeks I received 3 email messages telling of delay, then further delays, then nothing. Easter came and went, when our spring potting was complete the potting trays eventually arrived arrived on 22nd April. No further apology or other enclosure. I will think very carefully before purchasing from Harrod's again and cannot recommend to others.

Having ordered a table and chairs that were allegedly in stock according to the web site we are disappointed to have had to wait for 2 months for delivery, with almost no communication from Harrod despite many phone calls by myself, and what communication was eventually made was then inaccurate. The product quality is however excellent and worth the cost.

Really poor delivery service. Difficult to know what has been delivered, and difficult to relay back to Customer Service. Paid premium to get receive promptly too. Product looks good but I would be careful ordering in future

My order was delivered damaged. I found i had to take the lead in communication to get a replacement. Nothing wrong with the quality of the replacement, just poor customer service.
