“I ordered seconds, expecting the items to have some scratches etc, but the plastic covering was split on the corners of all 10 supports. A little disappointing visually, but still functional.”

“Ordered encarsia Formosa to deal with a whitefly problem. Promptly despatched but product contained minimal information - hung cards on plants as instructed but pupae haven't emerged after three weeks so either they were non viable on receipt or application instructions were insufficient. Either way I'm left frustrated and still have a whitefly problem.”

“The plant stakes are excellent quality and provide good support for tall plants. The communication with Harrods was efficient. Delivery by the courier was poor. I received a communication from them to tell me when it would be delivered and waited at home for it. After chasing the courier company it eventually arrived several days later with a very poor excuse.”

“I have been trying since last October to build some fruit cages. This company supplies aluminium poles and a supposed system to do so. I bought the aluminium tubes for the polls, and the connectors but they didn't fit the poles when I tried to construct the cage. A few weeks ago I ordered another set of polls of a narrower diameter, and guess what? They are still didn't fit as they were still not correct. When I complained to the compaby about this problem I was contacted within 24 hours, and the whole matter was immediately sorted out , very efficiently and professionally. I am very impressed by the way in which my problem was managed and dealt with. I have now erected the cages to protect my fruit trees from my little garden enemies, and they are exactly what I wanted.”

“I recently bought a lawn scarifier online for £30 and was slightly surprised when £5.90 was added for delivery as this was not clear on the website. It arrived somewhat late because of stock shortage but I was properly informed of this. Unfortunately it broke within minutes of use. I emailed Harrod Horticultural explaining what had happened and asking for full return address plus any forms required. They replied immediately to say a return was not required and they would refund my payment in full, which they did within days. I was not impressed with the scarifier but very impressed with the customer service I received. Harrod Horticultural is a company I truly feel I can trust. V. Martin, Stockport, 30th July 2015”
