“Excellent products, the plant supports were first rate, and the initial dispatch was prompt with excellent communications. However, I have docked one star as one of the sets was out of stock and took a few weeks to catch up. Although the comms were good and the supply chain issue clearly explained. All in all a positive experience and I am already looking at other products based on the service and excellent quality of the products.”

“I placed an order for products to enable me to grow and cover a crop of brussel sprouts on my allotment. The product was well designed and 'solid' (large rounded hoops, Ground Anchors for the hoops and heavy duty butterfly netting). The delivery was prompt and postage very reasonable. Unfortunately I had accidentally over ordered the hoops an d these had to be returned which in itself was a very straight forward process. The structure was easy to assembly with minimal help and after over a six week period, is still very firmly in place and not cabbage whites are inside. The only reason I have given this review four stars is that the returned goods too quite a while to be processed but I believe this was due to the delay by the delivery company.”

“We love the product and the arch is now essembled and in situation. We did get worried when we had an email saying there was a delay in its arrival but we were reasured when we spoke on the phone to the team. The arch was for a wedding so rather important for the occasion!”

“I ordered two poppodomes but when the arrived the elastic cord on the connecting poles was defective and broke. One phone call to customer services was answered promptly and replacements arrived very quickly. While quality control at the product supplier needs attention,Harrod Horticultural always provide an excellent service.”

“I bought 2 superior wall trellis. The delivery was excellent. I was able to install myself following the instructions. They look great just waiting for the clematis to grow through them. Only one problem, the caps for the screws are too big and keep falling off, I have to search for a couple of them every day around the garden, Very annoying. Next plan is to use some super glue. Perhaps black screws would be better. Apart from that they look great.”

“Website well laid out, sale easy but a little lacking on advice re footing, which I ordered separately. Clarity on need for these could be improved. Assembly nstructions would benefit from a fully labelled diagram, better than having to rely on an online video. We spent 40 minutes reconnecting elements right way around.”

“Everything was fine, except that I wish I was advised to remove the veg beds from plastic. I wasn't ready to install them straight away and they started to mould because aparently they were not dry for some reason. They also changed shape which was harder to put together. So I recommend to buy veg beds and put them together straight away.”

Thank you for your honest review. The raised beds are treated with a safe preservative and this can result in some moisture being present when wrapped for delivery. We advise to unwrap and let the wood dry before installing, but will review the messaging and make sure this is made more obvious to customers. Thank you for making us aware and hope the raised beds give you some successful harvests.

“The raised bed we purchased was of good quality timber, and arrived promptly. However one small improvement which could be made is the inclusion of corner struts to bind the 3 layers of the bed together, which we had to source seperately, otherwise it was not at all stable. However once we had done this the bed itself is sound.”

“I ordered online for bubble wrap and it was easy to navigate the process. To insulate 2 greenhouses 6x8 and 8 x 12, it costs nearly £100 including a bag of clips, and good thick quality bubble wrap and it does the job, you can feel the warmth, but rather a costly project.”
