I ordered a raised bed, liner and a topsoil. Very pleased with the service, the raised bed arrived promptly and the sub-contractor providing the top-soil also contacted me directly to arrange delivery. Their driver was very helpful in placing a large bag of soil onto the garden path for us. It took a couple of hours to put the raised bed together and it now looks fabulous. Great quality and service.

I bought two large trumpet plant supports for paeonies. They were well-packed. They are well-made. They look great in the flower bed as the paeonies begin to die away. BUT I don't think they are wide enough at the narrowest point for plants of that height, which is why I've ticked 'good', not 'very good'. My paeonies are too tightly constrained in the centre, I feel, which has put me off buying the smaller version for smaller plants. But, yes, I would buy them again, for other tall plants which aren't as wide.

The trowel was good but extortionately over priced.

I expected my order to take at least a week or more to process and deliver it and was very surprised and delighted when it was delivered in 2 days. It enabled me to get on with the job of lining my greenhouse with new bubblewrap while the weather was still warm and dry. thank you harrods horticultural.

This tomato press works quite well, though not as well as an older style one with a slightly different design that we have borrowed from a neighbour in the past. The suction pad secures it firmly to the work surface, and the container to collect the tomato in is quite large and has a spacious top, but we have to pass the tomatoes through the unit 2 or 3 times to get all the goodness out of them. Some seeds also go through, although that doesn't bother us. Cleaning the unit is not as easy as we'd like because you can't access the inner drum easily, and the spring-loaded pressers (not sure what else to call them!) are almost impossible to completely clean. We then have to boil down the result for a fair while before we have usable passata, but it is worth it because the taste is second to none!

Good quality wood overall, a couple the uprights had a lot of knots and were difficult to screw into. Some of the boards were slightly warped and needed a little adjustment but overall the finished raised beds look very good.

Nuts and bolts packed in thin plastic which was broken leaving some nuts and bolts within the cardboard box, could get lost. Nuts and bolts can jam probably because the fit is not good. This makes the job of building the frame very fiddlely. I am quite used to flat pack building but the job of building a 2 tier stage took 2hrs! Leaving but bolt tightening till the end could be better emphasised. Aluminium extrusion and holes good quality.

Parts of order were missing but resolved within a few days and sent missing pieces. Considering pond cover cost nearlyb £100 all it was was 4 pieces of steel tube which you then had to tie the net to. Would not recommend as not good value for money

I thought the do-it-yourself raised beds were very good indeed. I do have one regret and that is not getting the lining. I had to use wood preserver on the inside (for my own peace of mind) and the liner would saved all the effort. Also, I think the bag of soil was rather expensive, but next time I will get that too. I have been collecting mole hills which is back breaking work. Oh, nearly forgot. I wish I had got the light weight 'tunnels' for keeping insects at bay. In my old raised beds most of my curly kale has been eaten by caterpillars.

I had both sorts for predators for red spider mite which had very scant instructions for use! The website instructions were minimal too but when I emailed my concerns I was very pleased to receive an almost instant phone call to help me use the products! I have to say for the time being my daughters two large frangipani which I am caring for as she is abroad appear to be in full recovery with new leaves all round and no signs of red spider mites - HOORAY!!!

Really good company Harrod H as usual, really fast order process and delivery. Waiting to see if the ceramics work in the waterbutts particularly given the hot weather. So far still clear water. Autumn will see the plant cover being used to protect from frost.

Engraving on a trowel for a present was very good and well received. I didn't think the gift box was worth the extra money, however.

I ordered an apple picker and extension arm. First order didn't arrive, second order arrived but the apple picking basket was bent as it was packed in a Jiffy Bag. The carrier had squashed the basket but the extension arm was fine. The third order arrived with the apple picker in a box and it was OK although the carrier had again damaged the box (there was a hole in it). Adam and Beverley in Customer Services were brilliant and couldn't apologise enough, even though it wasn't their fault. You need a new courier! The apple picker works brilliantly.

arrived quickly in good packaging. dismayed to find item inside in a fancy and unnecessary cardboard box when I expected a plastic bag more waste and more expense

Range of goods excellent with items not easily obtainable elsewhere. Packaging good even for large and heavy items. Good value. Deliveries prone to error with missing items. Response to enquires over these generally helpful and positive although it was necessary to strongly argue my case on one occasion.
