I ordered and paid for express delivery, only to find that they had marked it down as standard. They then went on to miss a further delivery date, having taken the day off myself to receive it. To enable the final delivery, I then had to switch the address. However, even after I checked with them to make sure the details were correct, they went and delivered it to the wrong place. When I finally received the product, I found that all the poles were uniformly 5cm shorter than the advertised length. Even though this didn't make a difference on my vegetable netting frame, it just seemed a bit cheap and dishonest. I expected a 2m pole to be 2m, not consistently 195cm (almost to within a mm). The positives were that they did switch my postal charge to standard and the lady on the phone was very friendly. If that wasn't the case I would have rated them very poor. Overall, I appreciate that problems sometimes occur with even the best delivery companies. However, my personnel experience was disappointing and I would not recommend them to friends.

We do advise that the tubing size is nominal to allow for insertion into the Slot and Lock Connectors. Although the product is excellent the length of time to deliver an 'in stock' item is pretty unacceptable in today's internet shopping arena. It took 3 working days for the item to be picked from the warehouse followed by another 3-5 working days for delivery. Really unhappy with this schedule and no communications to this effect either on the website or via email; I had to phone to find out what was happening with my order. Although the product is good (and not cheap) the delivery is very poor.

The website promised delivery within 2 - 5 working days. Unfortunately, delivery took about 3 weeks, by which time the birds had eaten all of this year's cherries.

First order from this firm item was out of stock so I received it late as I wanted for my cherries, when it did come it was almost to late as most of the cherries had been picked would think twice about another order from this firm.

The product (Cherry sleeves) came too late to prevent damage so I had to net the whole tree the old fashioned way (and then the sleeves arrived 2 days later). On time critical products you should do more to make availability clear BEFORE you order.

I ordered some soft butterfly net and metal ground pegs to keep it anchored. A few days after I was sent an email stating they didn't have the netting in stock and the earliest they could despatch it to me was 3 weeks. So I cancelled my order because I needed it urgently, the lady tried to offer me alternative sizes but they were no good, the stupid thing about it was that they had already despatched the pegs without first finding out if I was cancelling so I had no netting only ground pegs they sure wouldn't keep the cabbage whites away.

I ordered 2 trumpet plant supports in rust finish on 22.5.2015. When my order was placed I understood the delivery to be 3 - 5 days as written on my order. Although Harrod Horticultural kept me informed of the progress of my order, the first item arrived 11 working days later and the second, 15 working days later. Surely the stock situation must have been known at the time of placing my order and receiving full payment for the items.

The Litre Cascata water butt in the catalogue picture looked perfect ...just what I needed, a hose connected that I (slightly disabled) would now be able to fill a watering can without bending to the brass tap that was also shown in situ. Sadly when the water butt arrived the tap nor the hose was connected. No words in the catalogue to inform that some skill required to assemble. Eventually I did connect the tap and hose...but both leaked, so extra expensive in paying a plumber to sort out the problem. Self Watering Tomato Kit. Frame and Net. A friend connected this item, as the written information was clear in that it would need to be assembled. Yes the frame was easy for her, BUT one string in the netting had obviously broken and had been knotted together. We did not dare to pull the netting in case it split. I use the base with the old tried way of tying strings for the tomato plants. The frame dismantled and back in the box the frame/net is a waste of money.

2 items ordered and both in stock but only received 1 item. Contacted Harrods Horticulture and advised that my other item was out of stock(website still showing in stock). Didn't find them very helpful, a little disappointed

Bought Hoe for a birthday present, allowed five days for delivery but it did not arrive. Telephoned company who chased up delivery and found it was lost in Ipswich!!! Sent another one which took a week to arrive because of bank holiday. Product OK although expensive and postage was certainly not good value

I'm still waiting for delivery of veg. cage netting which was supposed to have arrived on thursday afternoon, 4 June. I received a text message this morning saying the delivery would be made between 20.00 - 21.00 this evening but nothing has arrived and i have had no further message. I suggest you change to a more reliable delivery company. I would still like to know when my order is actually going to arrive.

I paid for express delivery so I knew what day it would be delivered. I waited until mid afternoon and checked confirmation of delivery with the helpdesk. I was dismayed to hear that it had been put on a standard despatch by mistake. I was expecting it Thursday but was told it would be the following week not even the following day . All my plans and arrangements I'd made for help to come to build our pond at the weekend then had to be changed. I was refunded the £5 express delivery but it did not compensate for the time lost in organising and what time I had wasted staying in waiting. Shame as the product received was as ordered.

I had been sent a copy of your brochure and I placed my order, via the telephone, on the basis of what was advertised. I was told that the item I wanted was in stock but was now considerably more expensive than was advertised - that the brochure was out of date. Because I wanted the items urgently, I went ahead with my order. Subsequently, I received an e-mail telling me the item was out of stock. This was repeated a couple of days later. The extra cost and the delay were annoying in themselves, but because I had to be away from my house, on two occasions I made arrangements for people to take delivery of the item in my absence.

Bought two packs of the new cherry netting tubes for the 3 dwarf bush trained trees on our allotment. Normally things from Harrod Horticultural are great, but this time I have been sorely disappointed. Two packs barely covered the fruit on a single tree, there weren't enough ties for the number of branches the netting covered, and it took hours to put on. Not enough to cover the other two trees. It would work out hugely expensive to cover all three. The birds have now stripped the two uncovered trees. I shall be investing in a fruit cage for next year.

The cloche I bought from you recently was very poorly presented. The parts had been stuck together with sellotape which left ugly marks over the new components, and were very difficult to clean off. The bolts were presented in a bad way, with the bag all stuck up. The persons doing the final assembly clearly did not care abpout the impression given to the customer.

There were delivery problems originally, with the wrong parcel being delivered at first and a parcel which contained the cage door was never delivered, but because of a serious illness I wasn't aware of this for a considerable time. However, that issue was solved amicably. The main problem occurred when we put up the net over the top of the cage and discovered several large holes after we unrolled it over the top, which we couldn't see because it was packed in the box before-hand. After we finished (with insufficient written instructions how to do it) I managed to patch the holes effectively as we didn't have the will to take the netting down again. It's OK now, but not as good as it should be, which is a pity because it is basically a good piece of garden equipment. Finally, because our garden is on a slope, I had to adjust the uprights accordingly. Written advice on this would have been helpful.

I have now had three orders with Harrod and each time after placing an order I get an alert saying the products are delayed . Surely stock info should be available at point of sale . The last order but I I was asked to review the product before I had received the goods! The last order I phoned in desperation to find out what was going on and was assured the goods were coming on Friday but low and behold on Thursday when Ihappened to be in along came the delivery man. Please Harrod say when items are not available when the order is placed and please get the delivery info accurate. . Ps I was feeling that after three poor experience s I would have got the items from another supplier if I could .

Paid for next day delivery. 1 package came the next day, unfortunately 2 packages were needed!! The 2nd part didnt arrive for a week and a half and this was after many phone calls and tweet!
