“Every year I get a lot of really tasty cherries on my tree but as soon as they ripen the birds beat me to them. The cherry tree sleeves are a most ingenious idea I am patiently looking forward to reaping my own cherries this year.”

“The brassica cage I bought from Harrod Horticultural is brillinat! I've been looking for a suitable product for some time and this does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a good, solid product, well thought out and good value.”

“I bought a pair of zip fasteners for my fruit cage. I thought they were a bit expensive for what they are, but I was pleased that they seemed sturdy and they were very simple to fit, giving me easy access to the cage. I can open one zip to slip in, or both if I want to put a wheelbarrow through. They are still quite new, so I can't comment on how long they will last, so I hope the price is justified by longevity!”

“The notification of the delivery time was very short, a couple of hours before it was delivered. If we had been told the actual day earlier it would have been easier. It was being delivered to the gardner's home, not mine, as I could not assemble them. Apart from that the pre-ordering advice was very professional and helpful.”

“I ORDERED THE EXTRA FINE MESH NETTING ITS GOOD QUALITY BUT THERE IS KNOW WHERE MENTIONED ABOUT THIS PRODUCT THAT IT CANT BE CUT. IT WAS ONLY WHEN I PHONED TO ASK THIS QUESTION THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD FREY AND SHOULD NOT BE CUT IT IS STITCHED ALL AROUND THE OUTSIDE THATS WHAT MADE ME SUSPICIOUS SO REALLY I WASTED MY MONEY WILL HAVE TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A MORE SUITABLE PRODUCT.”

“I purchased a timber compost bin and found it straight-forward to assemble - with an occasional tap with a hammer. It looks fantastic compared with my DIY efforts alongside it and is currently filled with ready to use compost from one of the DIY bins. It has not yet been used for rotting down the compost. My only adverse comment is that the timber is a bit thin and therefore fragile - so I treat it more gently than would normally be the case.”

“Having spent over £80 for my fruit cage I would of thought that 4 plastic tubing caps could if been included especially as they only cost 95p. Very penny pinching Harrod! I also think that a 3mtr long frame should of had an additional centre leg within the length and a centre strut across the top. A full description of the parts included with the kit should be published on the webpage. After all the customer is buying 'blind' to an extent. My fruit cage is on an allotment and I feel it is not very stable in an exposed environment”

“the service from the company was good, order delivered quickly and i was kept informed about delivery status. Unfortunately i was rather disappointed with the netting as i put it over the supports and within 2 days it had ripped. Although it has been rather windy i did expect the netting to last longer than that as i thought i was purchasing a reasonably sturdy netting.”

“Does the job - no frills allotment raised bed. The wood stain on the 'shorter' planks did not match the staining on the 'longer' planks but that's just a cosmetic issue. Also, corner posts not flush with top of planks but all in all, once holes were drilled for screws & it was put together and in situ, minor faults easy to ignore! Glad we bought the liner - fits well but needed tacks (not supplied) to hold it in place along the edges to prevent it falling in on itself. Happy with purchase and would recommend product to a friend!”

“Feedback from Robin Griffiths re 30936000038893 Everything was brilliant except that abomination of a door latch! I rang for help before placing my order. I think it was Sabrina who I spoke to. She was very, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I placed the order on line which was easy. The order was acknowledged straight away and delivery was very swift. I hate “flat packs” but the diagrams were good and the instructions as good as one might expect. I took plenty of time to understand what all the parts were and did the assembly over several days. The finished cage looked good and met our expectations but the door is closed with twisted wire as the latch is useless. I got someone else to confirm that I had assembled it correctly (which they did) but the latch on the door simply does not stay connected with the block on the door support upright so the door does not securely remain closed. However, this will not stop me from giving a (qualified) recommendation of Harrods.”

“I have been trying, for over half an hour, to enter my Nemaslug review. If you want reviews, why make it so difficult to log in etc. I have been with you for years; surely you should be able to accept my log-in by now. I am impressed by the packaging and instructions for using the Nemaslug, but as yet I have been unable to use mine as we are still having very cold nights and gallons of rain. However, with a date of 20/5/2015 on my package, I should just about make the deadline as the forecast is better for this week. Barbara M. Phillips. barbaraph@orpheusmail.co.uk”
