“Great quality products and good selection, however the delivery cost will prevent me from ordering again. I paid £16 for P&P for a net, that is not acceptable, Royal Mail would have been far cheaper.”

Thank you for your order and review. You comment on the cost of delivering an order outside of the UK mainland. We would like to explain the situation regarding delivery and prices across the country. As the range of products that we manufacture and supply is so diverse in size and shape, we have to rely on couriers, to deliver the vast majority of our orders. To calculate the delivery tariff, our carriers split the country into various zones governed by postcodes and unfortunately, delivery to some areas attracts an extra charge. If it is any consolation, we do not add a surcharge to the figure our couriers charge us; in fact, we subsidise the £15.95 delivery cost on every order. Wherever possible, we try to send our products by Royal Mail or similar postal services but, as we mentioned above, the size, shape and weight of many of our products precludes this. We hope this is of help to you and thank you again for your order.

“From the very user friendly website to the delivery and unpacking of the products, everything about Harrodsburg Horticultural is professional. They carry a vast range of everything horticulture, prices are reasonable and competitive. Very important in these budget conscious times. Communication and delivery is very good indeed. Highly recommended”

“Prompt delivery and high quality, good-looking products. I have purchased a fruit cage, espalier and raspberry frames, and I expect them to last for years. My only criticism - the steel cable for these supports is really difficult to cut, and still leave a pointed end narrow enough to feed through the gripple clips. It would be much better if the cable could be supplied already cut to the appropriate lengths for the frame.”

“Whilst I am very happy with the service and products received from Harrod Horticultural I do wish they would open a product collection point at their premises as I live near to their Lowestoft warehouse. As it is my order is collected from Lowestoft by courier, sent to a Norwich depot and then returned to Lowestoft to deliver to me. This all takes about 3 days and is not very eco-friendly, costs me extra money takes longer to reach me and is bad for the environment!”

Many thanks for your review. However, it is possible to collect your orders from our Lowestoft Office, you would just need to contact Customer Services to place your order and make arrangements for the collection.

“Over the past 18 months I have purchased 8 items from Harrod. 6 raised metal beds and two obelisks in three different orders. I had difficulty with my final order through transport damage but customer services sorted it all. Really pleased with all my items. Still more to buy. 😊”

“Disappointed that my order for two netted cages did not have any assembly instructions. I had a single box with all the components for the two but no assembly instructions. After I requested details they came promptly. I have some reservations about how robust the structures are. I live in an exposed site with some high winds at times, so I reserve judgement on that aspect.”

“Very quick in responding to my order, especially when I made a mistake with the quantity. The refund was swift, along with delivery. The second protective "umbrella" was purchased to protect my gooseberry bush, which would otherwise, be eaten by the rabbits”

“Arrived. bang on time - excellent service! And a very good price too. I've used Strulch before - it really does keep the weeds down and discourage slugs - something quite essential in our garden ... 5 cm slugs, anyone?”
