My order took at least 4 or 5 weeks to come. Although I understand things are sometimes delayed, I chased this several times by email and never got a proper reply, just an automated one. Very frustrating. When I eventually received a reply, it stated my order would be delivered in 2 days' time on a Friday. I replied immed to ask for short delay (ironically) so they would be delivered on Monday instead as we were going away to a wedding and would be away for 3 days. I didn't know how they would be packed, and hence if they would survive for this time. As I didn't get a reply, I had to assume 'no such luck', so we packed up the car, and literally sat waiting for the delivery. I quickly opened box to unpack plants and leave them in such a way that they wouldn't die while I was away, and so I could plant properly when I got back. They were all very delicate and so some were damaged when extracted from all the straw packing. Long story short, it was not a pleasant experience, it was very frustrating and I will get my plants from elsewhere next time, probably RHS site. My advice would be, make sure you update your customers on the situation and any delays etc. People generally don't mind if they know what is going on.

The late growing season this year had unfortunately led to delays with despatching our plants which we know has been a great inconvenience to our customers. Be careful to look very closely at brochure pictures. Sometimes they have unsightly bolts hidden behind foliage. Self assembly can be a nightmare

Thank you for your order and review. You comment on the cost of delivering an order outside of the UK mainland. We would like to explain the situation regarding delivery and prices across the country. As the range of products we manufacture and supply is so diverse in size and shape, we have to rely on couriers, to deliver the vast majority of our orders. To calculate their delivery tariff our couriers split the country into various zones governed by postcodes and unfortunately, delivery to some areas attracts an extra charge. We realise this is not an ideal situation but as our trade increases, we hope to be able to reduce this charge so deliveries to the whole of the UK mainland cost exactly the same. If it is any consolation, we do not add a surcharge to the figure our couriers charge us; in fact, we subsidise the £15.95 delivery cost on every order. Wherever possible, we try to send our products by Royal Mail or similar postal services but, as we mentioned above, the size, shape and weight of many of our products precludes this. We hope this is of help to you and thank you again for your order.

A long wait from order to delivery symptomatic of poor stock control processes. End panels difficult to fit , far too flimsy, and virtually useless.

The cloches were late and poor quality the so called end pieces had to be glued in place as they kept falling out

Whilst most of our products are manufactured by ourselves, regrettably the Cloches are bought in products and we are completely in the hands of our suppliers regarding stock dates. We are also sorry that the Longrow Super Cloches did not meet your expectations. No deliver have phoned twice still no answer. Do not use them rubbish.

I ordered 2 rolls of 4m x 10m fleece and was sent 2 rolls of 2m widths so had to use ties to join them together not very convienient.

Thought the length of poles for netting should be a lot less than 3m for caging supports especially as netting is of reasonable weight

We can confirm that all of the Vegetable Cages which we manufacture and supply have been designed and tested thoroughly and the maximum span without an intermediate upright is 3m. Very disappointed when a hand fork purchased for me worked loose after only a few months of use. Advice given to me by you was to glue it back in! This a friend has now done but considering this tool is given such a long guarantee of use I am extremely annoyed and have lost faith in Your products Yvette Allen

Delivery was awful with Uk Mail lies lies and more lies. But in fact Harrod dud their very best under the circumstances. The products Harrod Horticulture sell are very good quality but in this instance the delivery was terrible and why I have rated my experience as poor! If they continue to use Uk mail I will not be ordering again. DPD are amazing!

Your delivery charges! It is disgraceful that your company still use a delivery service that charge extra for Scottish post codes. It did not show up clearly till the final stage. I was outraged. We are still mainland UK , NOT an island.

Although delighted with the goods received it was annoying to find them cheaper on the website of the company who actually delivered them!

My order was delivered to my sons has it was a Christmas present. The delivery man was asked to put the goods at the side of the house but left them all across the front door. That was disappointing and a pain has my son then had to move them with his busy life.

Good product but abysmal delivery service. Courier kept promising delivery dates / times and then not keeping to them. This happened several times - eventually I had to ask you to sort it out.

Ordered a luxury kneeling stool ... waited 2 weeks for it only to find out it had been lost in-transit so ordered another 1 ... then both turned up on successive days ... called HH to arrange collection of 'spare one' ... waited in 3 separate days for a collection that never happened ... so still got a 'spare one' awaiting collection ... amateur operation!

We expected the netting to be fitted to size as per previous cage purchases. Not just a roll of material

Unfortunately, the product did not work to get rid of caterpillars, broccoli has been devoured by this pest.
