“Very efficient service. Disappointed in the delivery penalties for Moray. Many other firms do not make this distinction and we feel delivery costs should be shared throughout the UK.”

“In my opinion the aluminium frames make better pond covers than the steel frames. Steel frames are too heavy to move easily and stress the joints. So happy remembering I had to buy the aluminium to replace the steel which in my opinion would only get 2 stars”

“I bought one of the new style Codling Moth traps. I like the design, but are the pheromones the same - these appear to last longer a whole season and to cover a wider area. There is no use by date - Are they Ok to keep and should they be in cold conditions? I've only used one so far and not caught any codlings. I also searched for refills for Raspberry beetle traps , but could not find”

“Ordering proved easy on-line and delivery was swift. However, I would have appreciated a little more detail about the netting which came with my order for a vegetable enclosure. The netting was extremely fine and I thought perhaps, as I needed it for fruit rather than veg. it might prove to be too fine to allow pollinating insects to enter. I rang customer services and was assured it would be OK. I would also have appreciated knowing in advance that a door might be opportune!”

“Prompt efficient service, many thanks. I bought a vegetable cage which could be better though. The 1.5m uprights are easy to bend, the net should be fitted/shaped to the cage size and the door arrangement is poor.”

“The quality of both the raspberry supports and the bean and pea supports was excellent and I will be very surprised and disappointed if they do not cope with our windy climate on 900 feet up in the pennines where cane supports get blown over. There were some problems with the instructions and illustrations. The raspberry support wire if cut as instructed cannot be thread through the wire jammers supplied. However there is no need to cut the wire as it can be fed across and then up the second support and then back to the first support without cutting it. The bean A supports appear to be not much more than a foot apart at the base in the illustration in the catalogue, but the instructions tell you that they must be at least a metre apart or the warranty is invalidated. This caused me to purchase more than I could use in my available space. They take about 2 hours each to assemble.”

“We ordered a 2.5 x 3 m fruit cage and it went together very easily and is very robust. My only complaint is that the door has to go on a corner - there is only one additional vertical door support. This is not clear from the website - from the limited information available I got the impression the door could be mounted anywhere, not just on a corner.”

“I was disappointed that the bag of soil was delivered on a normal lorry and that the driver couldn't reverse up our drive; I had to assist by pushing the ton load on a sack truck onto our property. Not good considering I'm a 65 yrs old woman with arthritis. Last time I ordered similar from you it arrived on a builders lorry with a crane!”

“Bought a pack of plant supports. Very durable product, which I couldn't buy locally. Very efficient service and good were well packed and despatched very quickly. Harrod have an excellent range of products and I never have problems with items being out of stock.”
