My 3m x2m cage isn't as firm as it should be. I think that angle brackets should be supplied with the kit. My main complaint however, is that the latch block isn't secure. If the bolt is tightened up to stop the block sliding down the tube, then the latch itself doesn't move. I can see no other interpretation of the minimal instructions. The bolt holds the latch and the block together - am I doing something wrong.

hi there. We are still waiting for our Coloured Roman Arch to be delivered...you said it had been with us SOON and had been dispatched, original email from 11th April said dispatch from 22nd then item dispatched....I have spent quite a few days staying near from of house/leaving notes dec so that I don't miss it. Emails are helpful and you have sent quite a few to update, BUT, what would be great is a date I could be confident to wait in. Your products are lovely. Guess there is high demand at the moment. meanwhile still waiting.

I recently ordered a cold frame. Described on the website as a Gabriel Ash product. Once assembled it was apparent that it was neither Gabriel Ash or complied with the website description. To be fair they offered to replace it for the Gabriel Ash model r provide cash discount. As it was assembled I opted for a cash discount. The website description was also amended. The manner in which companies handle customers concerns is a good guide to the integrity of the company. I would purchase more good from Harrodsburg Horticultural.

Online ordering was easy but received email next day to say product out of stock and giving date when would be next back in stock, product then arrived without any warning a few days later! unfortunately it was damaged so had to be re-ordered - exactly the same thing happened second time, out of stock then arrived long before expected date without any warning. However, when it arrived i was very pleased with the quality

The Polycloche is very good and easy to assemble however the delivery charge for for an item that could easily have been sent by Royal Mail was extortionate. The excuse that courier company sets the charges for delivery was poor when a little extra work would have seen a very satisfied customer. It is highly unlikely I shall be buying from Harrod again.

Thank you for your order and review. You comment on the cost of delivering an order outside of the UK mainland. We would like to explain the situation regarding delivery and prices across the country. As the range of products we manufacture and supply is so diverse in size and shape, we have to rely on couriers, to deliver the vast majority of our orders. To calculate their delivery tariff our couriers split the country into various zones governed by postcodes and unfortunately, delivery to some areas attracts an extra charge. We realise this is not an ideal situation but as our trade increases, we hope to be able to reduce this charge so deliveries to the whole of the UK mainland cost exactly the same. If it is any consolation, we do not add a surcharge to the figure our couriers charge us; in fact, we subsidise the £15.95 delivery cost on every order. Wherever possible, we try to send our products by Royal Mail or similar postal services but, as we mentioned above, the size, shape and weight of many of our products precludes this. We hope this is of help to you and thank you again for your order.

There was no indication that the product was self assembly. However, it was of good quality & delivered very promptly.

After a long wait (product not available) the cloches finally arrived. They were not as photographed with corrugated panels but with rather more flimsy plain panels. So former reviews are errelevant. Easy to put together which is just as well as instructions are poor and pictures no help at all. Whether they are value for money remains to be seen. Overall disappointed with them but hope to be proved wrong

We bought an aluminium fruit cage. The plastic fittings for the door hinges and latch were very tight, consequently the bolts provided were not long enough to go through the fittings; we had to buy our own. However, the package came with the correct quantity of fittings and reasonable instructions.

Ordered by telephone person very pleasant and helpful however did ask to hold back delivery until a fortnight's time as I was on holiday and didn't want big items left with no one home he said that wouldn't be a problem. Get an email when I was on holiday to say items had been dispatched and would arrive the next day ! Had to arrange for someone to go to my house and pick them up and keep them until I returned could have done without that on holiday!

The order process was easy - quick and efficient. Courier service let it down as I was mailed to say it would arrive on a particular day, but the courier apparently couldn't find my house. I was in, but no phone call. At second attempt, arrived way outside of given delivery time (just as well I was in).

I order some topsoil, which was of excellent quality. The improvements I would suggest are a 'receipt of order and anticipated delivery date', as I was left wondering if my order had been received. I called to get confirmation of it. Rolawn called several days later to set up a delivery date. When the delivery lorry arrived, the soil could not be delivered where I wanted it as the off-loading was inadequate - by this I mean that the poor delivery driver had no hydraulic lifting device to place the very heavy bulk. He had to use a hand-pushed trolley to manoeuvre the soil into a position on a hardstanding which doesn't belong to me, rather than on my gravel driveway. There was no indication of this difficulty at the time of placing the order - I only learned of it when Rolawn called me to set up the delivery date. In summary........great product, needs more information post order stage and better delivery mechanism.

I am afraid I did not find it easy to put together and felt the tops did not fit well. I had to change a lot of screws round and I just didn't think it was that good for the money. Lots of knooks and crannys for soil to get into and a few fairly sharp edges meaning I would have to be careful if I brush compost off with my hand. I haven't even bothered to take the protective film off. It was a luxury spend for me...and I am a bit disappointed.

The products you sell are fine, slightly overpriced maybe. But if you were able to routinely send receipts on receipt of an on line order, noting that goods had been paid for and the method of payment that would be a big plus!

I purchased two Allotment raised beds - one rectangular, one corner. The beds arrived very quickly, so full marks there! unfortunately, long enough for me to forget exactly what type of rectangular raised bed I had ordered. The planks arrived bundled together, the instructions were too general ... I ended up with a rectangular instead of square, and a rather odd triangle. But never mind, the rectangle was of more use than the square, so don't mind, but I think the instructions could be better if ordering multiple beds so avoid problems with 3D jigsaws! Of more concern was the fact that the screw holes aligned too close to the corner post edges, and I had real problems with the wood splintering if the screws did not go in exactly true. The wood was incredibly soft. I actually had to drill new holes on one plank to get it to fit properly away from the edge of the post. However, the bed is up, filled with soil and growing lettuces, so all in all I am happy with the finished product, if not with its assembly.

Product good but carriage is exorbitant. Item could have been sent by parcel post for a fraction of the charge. Will not be ordering again unless a fairer carriage charge is implemented.

Products are fine, I bought a tall metal support and a smaller trumpet shaped support. The do the job and are well made - but......the tall frame was damaged in transit. The last two things I've ordered now have been damaged in transit (I also bought the plastic watering shelf for the greenhouse last year). The customer service is great, happy to replace, refund, or even reduce the cost of the item, but the fact is I wanted the items to be able to be used. So, in short, the products are great, but the delivery of them intact is not good at all. I'm running at a 66% damaged on receipt!
