IN THE END I DID NOT USE THE CHERRY TREE SLEEVE ROLL.ON ALL THE NEW GROWTH WAS BLACKFLY.I CUT SOME OF THE INFESTED BITS OFF,BUT DECIDED THAT IT WAS TOO MUCH OF A JOB. THERE WERE CHERRIES ON SPURS AND BRANCHES.IT WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO CUT THE SLEEVE ROLL.SO I LEFT THE TREE TO NATURE. I PICKED THE CHERRIES WHEN THEY HAD GONE RED INSTEAD OF LEAVING THEM TO FULLY RIPEN[TURN NEARLY BLACK]ON THE TREE.SURPRISINGLY THE CHERRIES WERE FLESHY AND QUITE SWEET.I WAS LUCKY THAT THE BLACKBIRDS LEFT THE TREE ALONE AND DID NOT EAT THE CHERRIES. I MIGHT BUY A CAGE NEXT YEAR.

OK on the whole but hard to judge the interior size so that fixing bolts match size of cloche, mine won't reach so the hoops are just pushed in. It would be great if the bottom of the net could be elasticated for a failsafe fit.

We can confirm that we do also supply an insect mesh cover which has an elasticated hem. Portacage 2.50m x 2.00m £120 The cage was quick and easy to assemble. Net made to size fitted inside frame. Rings on top of frame attach to net (like curtains on pole). Would like more rings. Recommended that should be anchored to ground with pegs, yet no pegs supplied. Absence of door makes it difficult to access cage. Cage is as advertised and good quality, however, it is very basic and in my view overpriced.

The bins are good quality but prone to warping if not unpacked on delivery. If you have more than one bay then it is impossible to fit the lid retaining rails on both sides of a plank without longer screws which are not provided. Harrod should be aware of this from previous posts and should have modified the product pack but hasn't. It also takes the fitting of of 500 screws which takes days and no mean effort. So overpriced and self effort underestimated.

This product is par for the course these days. Idea is brilliant as a vent for the greenhouse. However, my greenhouse is an old aluminium one, but very good build. The frame is narrower but thick, this was not so compatible with the vent. Also the bolts were too short but the company couldn't supply any longer ones. I bought horticultural glass which was a bad idea as this can slip straight through, this glass is a mm or two thinner than others. This can cause problems when closing the vent which I do very carefully. Be aware that you may need to modify. I needed a vent and it is what it is.

It was not clear from the brochure that the trug was not already constructed but would be delivered in pieces requiring me to construct it! I can't do this so will now have to pay someone to do it for me. The product is expensive as it turns out to be just a few planks of wood! Additionally the packaging was damaged. The plant ties rusted as soon as they were put around the plants - I thought they were supposed to be rust proof? Feeling disappointed.

Regarding your Link Stakes, we can confirm that the Rust Effect variety was selected when your order was placed on our Website, therefore would not be rust proof. Pleased with the items I purchased but very slow delivery. A few days after ordering I received an email advising that part of the order which was some netting was out of stock, so I ordered it from somewhere else and the netting still arrived 4 days before the Harrod order.

Lovely product , however I ordered by express delivery . Unfortunately it took a week and I had to get another present for the birthday . The staff member was very pleasant and diffference in postage was refunded .

The catalogue did not make it clear that the netting we ordered was stiff braided plastic rather than soft netting we had hoped for. Our need was urgent so had to use what we ordered. Delayed supply of one element of the order was well covered by e mail.

Ordered raised bed liner, which was shown as in stock, however, received email to advise out of stock until new deliveries due 28 September. Shortly after the liner was delivered which was a little confusing in view of previous notification. I was initially obviously disappointed that the liner was not now in stock and would need to wait until end September for new supply.

I know about the nature of product development but it still hits me hard when I want to extend a system and find that all the components have changed to the extent that I can only bodge the extension. Your decision to standarise your fruit cage tubing has really hit me hard. The original tubing will last for years and cannot be dumped and this is a real problem. Apart from that your new tube connectors are a joy and much much better than the old system. I used the old rubber based connectors to connect the old with the new tubing and this has made a reasonable fruit cage. Thank you also for the net claw Peg which has completely eliminated the ability of young birds to get inside the cage.

We do offer a 12.7mm to 16mm tubing convertor that allows 12.7mm tubing to be used with our Slot and Lock connectors. The product is as described. However, as the ground is dry, the metal poles had to be hammered in which is no fault of the supplier. Also, there were not enough clips. At least three clips are needed for each post. We ordered this product online about 3 weeks ago and the website did not state until we had ordered that it was out of stock and we had to wait until the product was restocked, which, in my opinion, is not conducive to our purchasing other products from Harrod Horticultural. I did have to chase on a couple of occasions to check when the product would be sent to us.

We purchased a steel fruit cage. The quality is good. The construction instructions were VERY POOR. we phoned for advice,but I was disappointed with the description and in fact we had designed the layout but that is completely lately spoilt as it was not clear that we could not have the doors in the middle of the run . Not having a shop or display meant we were unsure what to expect. The arches are fine . We are disappointed as all our planning and planting is to no avail . The design and f the cage is not flexible enough

Although this product was reasonably well built, it was difficult to assemble, rather like a mecano set. Once installed looked good. Quite expensive if you consider your own labour costs on top of the price!

Loved the really substantial planks making up the frame, so the end result feels really solid. Was very disappointed with the joining pieces which were too narrow, the screw holes too near the edge, so the wood split when assembling. We replaced them with some brackets. The coping on the top provides a nice finish and is really useful when working on the bed. But the mitres on the corners were not quite 45 degrees so the ends didn't meet neatly. Would be a great product if attention were paid to these details.
