Past experiences have been good, however on this occasion incorrect products were delivered, these being of much inferior quality to previous orders. These were returned, and in fairness the company rectified the mistake and forwarded the correct order without fuss. Despite this experience, I would have no hesitation in placing further orders with Harrod Horticultural.

Expensive for just one tier. From the website description I was expecting an item with multiple layers.

The product supplied has not supplied a solution to the problem of beetroot seedling being eaten as soon as the emerge from the ground. The rows are netted to prevent birds and slug pellets are on the ground

Just bought some bird netting product is very good but object to payingbthrough the nose for postage it's like eBay good price for product ripped off for postage I bought 3 nets and paid £15.95 It's nets for goodness sake deleted order but had to go back as I needed them thought buying 3 one price for postage but no almost 3 times the prrice I

Thank you for your order and review. You comment on the cost of delivering an order to your postcode area. We would like to explain the situation regarding delivery and prices across the country. As the range of products we manufacture and supply is so diverse in size and shape, we have to rely on couriers, to deliver the vast majority of our orders. To calculate their delivery tariff our couriers split the country into various zones governed by postcodes and unfortunately, delivery to some areas attracts an extra charge. We realise this is not an ideal situation but as our trade increases, we hope to be able to reduce this charge so deliveries to the whole of the UK mainland cost exactly the same. If it is any consolation, we do not add a surcharge to the figure our couriers charge us; in fact, we subsidise the £15.95 delivery cost on every order. Wherever possible, we try to send our products by Royal Mail or similar postal services but, as we mentioned above, the size, shape and weight of many of our products precludes this. We hope this is of help to you and thank you again for your order.

The assembly instructions and diagram need modifying to indicate the strap should be on the outside of the pot. I did not have a photograph of the assembled trap available when fitting it together which would have been helpful. The trap has not been in use long enough to assess it's performance.

The planter I bought wasn't like what I thought! The image of planter was with cover but actually the cover is sold separately. When I opened the parcel, part of the willow start fall off from the main part, not sure how long it's going to last, but I will not buy it if I see from shop. It's over priced form this type of planter.

I recently purchased a 1.2m high vegetable cage plus a zip net access strip which was shown on the same web page. Whilst the cage is well constructed the zip was for a 1.7m high cage. On contacting the customer services I was told there is no 1.2m zip available. I am thus wondering why the zip which is too large is associated with the product. Just a little annoying and I am probably not the only customer to have experienced this.

The product ordered is fine but the delivery was less than expected. Ordered Monday, message Thursday to say it would arrive soon. On enquiry by phone was told Wednesday. Delivered Tuesday.

I ordered two strawberry cages and one fruit cage. All staff were extremely helpful at Harrod Horticultural in advising what extras they would advise I ordered and all seemed to be going well until the delivery. Packaging was very poor indeed and cardboard boxes did not survive the rough handling by carriers nor were the metal frame posts wrapped well and all arrived with packaging torn. Netting arrived 1 week later - obviously carriers had failed to delivery it at the same time. I was watching the carrier deliver goods - driver opened gate of my drive took goods out of van then proceeded to throw them onto the grass inside the drive and then drove off! In all a bad experience when I had just spent £1K on the frames!!

The packaging that we use for transporting our products has been tested for many years and the carriers have clearly mishandled your goods. All of our carriers have a list of our expectations and it is frustrating for us when issues such as these happen because we cannot directly affect this part of the service when the goods leave our warehouse. Having bought cloches which I loved from Harrod Horticultural (I think) in the past. I had thought that the new ones would be of the same quality, so stupidly bought 6. Unfortunately, a ridiculous "designer" name has been attached to a horrid little cloche of a totally inadequate size, an ugly shape, and not even coloured in the lovely soft green that my previous ones were. Serves me right for just assuming that the quality would be he same and not checking the size first.

I received good service on my first purchase, very helpful staff, so made me do a second purchase for similar products, but this time things went wrong and I received the wrong products, the main problem with this was the time to replace with the correct tubes, I still have the first tubes as to date no one has collected them, this is a big nuisance still I have to drag a 3m tube I and out since no idea when they would be collected and could get wet if I left them. A very disappointed client

Ordered a hotbin, when it arrived the carrier left it in my yard, I had to carry it into my back garden. The hotbin was damaged, redress was via the manufacturer. The folk at hotbin were helpful and arranged a replacement, however, still waiting for the damaged hotbin to be collected.

I have now discovered what it was that I purchased which triggered your request that I write a review on my dealings with your Firm. Greenhouse shading. What can I say? I requested a set length/width of green shading which was duly delivered with the minimum of fuss. Netting was exactly as required, fixed to greenhouse to protect growing plants, then the sun went in. Nothing more to report. Regards, Ken Riley.

The inner tunnel should be fixed, as it may float if there is too much grass in it. The lead screws are rusty already after some days of use. However, this is the better and easier way to make your own plant food.

I found the Stawberry Table a bit tricky to put together but that was probably because I did it on my own, but I got there in the end. However it does not stand very steadily because the vertical ends project below the horixontal foot bar so it rocks slightly. Depending on how it copes in wind etc., I may need to saw it level.

The corner connectors of the door frame of the aluminium fruit cage are not sufficiently rigid to prevent the door sagging out of shape. Some form of additional cross bracing is required to prevent this.

1. Roman arch good, including assembly instructions (but these could have said which way round to put the dimpled side of the metal frame piece). 2. Cage netting poor. I ordered two lots in separate orders because I miscalculated the dimensions in the first order. My intention then was to sew the two pieces together (with fishing twine). I found this far from straightforward as although the two pieces should have been of identical specification, they were not. One had the mesh distorted at one end, so that the 'squares' were more lozenge-shaped than square. One was also taller than the other by some 3 inches - not a problem for me, but still unexpected. I know I could have sent this back, but did not want the fuss of doing so. You ought to know, however.
