“The fruit tree sleeves are absolutely marvellous! I had a great crop of cherries last year but was only able to do the lower branches. This year thanks to my new order we shall put sleeves higher up.”

“Excellent time in delivery. Very substantial weight good value for money. I have telephoned yourselves regarding a missing Node back and hope that I receive it promptly to enable me to get if fixed using the brackets that I have purchased.”

“I had to purchase an extra set of connectors (GDN-675 - CONNECTOR 25X25 3 WAY 3WC) for my aluminium cage as the old ones became rusty and broke. I also had to pay a blacksmith to get the broken connectors removed from their hollow poles. When I contacted Jarrod I was informed that the cage, once erected, was not supposed to be dismantled. I had had to dismantle mine each winter as I had it on an allotment and erect it again for the summer season. A poor design of connectors as the go rusty over time. But they are supposed to be outside all year!”

Thank you for your order and review. We are sorry to hear that you experience issues with the connectors to your Steel Fruit Cage. Our Steel Fruit Cages have a 10-year structural guarantee and are designed to be assembled and left in one area. The cage can be dismantled; however, we do recommend against this as parts can become damaged, especially if dismantled on a number of occasions. We hope this explanation is of help to you and thank you again for your comments.

“Recently bought some staging for my polytunnel - excellent quality and easy to assemble. However, a real shame that most pieces were covered in a blue plastic film that needed removing and will have just ended up in landfill or worse. With the growing concern about plastic pollution on the land and in our oceans, this plastic film seemed uneccessary and would urge Harrod Horticultural to do something about it!”

We regularly review each and every product we stock – partly based on very welcome feedback such as yours - to ensure they are packed as efficiently as possible and are well protected for the uncomfortable journey they are about to take. We work closely with our suppliers to try and ensure products we purchase from them are adequately packaged on delivery to us, and of course, we have much greater control over packaging of the items we design and manufacture ourselves. “The node wall trellis system is excellent. I have fixed one to a very crooked barn wall: the provision of spacers and the flexibility of the steel rods made it possible to follow the contours of the wall and keep a decent space between the frame and the wall. The other trellis was fixed to a straight rubble-stone wall built from a rock which is impossible to drill. The multiple node system made it possible to choose fixing points corresponding to mortar joints in the wall and therefore to achieve a stable result. I would recommend this product to anyone with similar problem walls”

“The Aluminium fruit cage I purchased was very well made and we put it up without any difficulty. The cage clips provided were not enough but after a quick call to Harrod’s customer service dept. more were promptly sent out. A very happy customer.”
