I purchased a weed flame burner and 6 gas canisters. The advertised canisters were replaced with smaller cans without my knowledge but I was charged for the larger cans. Harrod reimbursed me once I had made a complaint

My delivery took far longer than was promised , that was the courier I guess and you did deal with my phone calls very well. Now the staging oh dear not what I expected it was like putting a biscuit tin to gether. So thin and glitzy not really suitable for rural polytunnel The struts are loose so keep moving around, not very convenient Overall not what I wanted M D Evans

The metal Arch is reasonable although I worry that it will rust from the ground up in time. The wooden Arch arrived damaged and Harrod have agreed a modest compensation for fixing it. The basic frame is of strong material but the side screens are poorly made.

Many thanks for your order and review. We can confirm that our metal Arches are galvanised and powder coated throughout giving them a 10 year framework guarantee. We are also very sorry that the wooden Arch was not of the high quality that we normally expect and have forwarded your comments to our suppliers. Far from making me happy,you gave me a reason to question the quality of the product I ordered. I have since accepted the product,but haven't received any answer from yourselves. I have already voiced my concern by telephone,shortly after delivery. To recap; I ordered 4m wide 30gm fleece,in order to cut it into 2m width,because that was cheaper than your advertised 2m fleece.I was more than surprised to find that my order was joined with a narrow strip at just over 3m! I can only hope that this join will survive the life of the fleece. Why didn't you make this "join" clear in your advert?

The 4m width Insulating Fleece does have a join but this should not affect the performance of the material. the trellis is a good shape - I've bought them before - but this time there were two fixings missing and four of the washers supplied snapped as the trellis was installed.

The people I spoke to on the phone were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, although the delivery people said they would arrive between 11 and 12 but in fact arrived at my allotment at 10.30 and were cross that I wasn't there. I got there as quickly as I could (within 10 minutes) but because they only had a 15 minute slot to do the delivery they just dumped everything on the pavement and i didn't have time to check it properly. It was a few days later that I realised that two of my raised bed kits hadn't been delivered. (The 4 that were delivered are fine and were easy to put together.) The fruit cage was very difficult to put up - the first man I asked (someone I had used for lots of other jobs) gave up and I had to get someone else. He reported that the instructions were really hard to follow and, although it's now up and looks okay, we seem to have quite a few bits of kit left over.

I am sure the fruit cage will look lovely and be very useful once it is finally erected, but the professional garden design team who are trying to put it together tell me that the top netting is very awkward and would be much easier to fit if it were cut in a rectangle shape. In addition, the instructions apparently say that the netting should be put on once the cage is put together, but the men cannot imagine how you would be able to do this from ladders. Hard enough trying to do it on the ground.

Thank you for your recent order and review regarding your Ogee Arch Fruit Cage. We rely greatly on comments from our customers to drive our policy of continual improvement in both the products we supply and the service we offer and are most grateful for your views. We can confirm that the roof net supplied with this type of cage in a 3.5m x 5.5m rectangular piece of netting. The netting is knotted and pulled into a diamond shape when packed. Once unpacked the meshes to the net will need to be pulled square to get the required size. We advise the net is attached to the cage after the frame is assembled as the roof may be too heavy to lift in one piece. However, the roof can be lifted after the netting has been added if there is more than one person to help. We hope this information is of help to you and thank you once again for both your order and review.

Originally order was not in stock and expected date moved further and further into the future. E-mail details were ignored and "pro forma" (irrelevant) responses were unhelpful. Order cancelled in frustration. Re-order some months later also claimed to be out of stock with an expected date in the future however product arrived after about ten days.

I have no issues at all with the quality of the goods ordered and received however delivery is very disappointing. My first order although promised on the Thursday failed to arrive - and again on the Friday. I ended up collecting it as I had been specific that it was needed for the weekend. 320 deliver charge was refunded without quibble however it was very inconvenient. My latest order was placed on a Sunday afternoon and promised by email on the Friday but disappointingly arrived on Monday morning. it is very difficult to plan weekends this way and so I am unlikely to use again.

This is the second year I have bought biological control for whitefly. The delivery took ages and I have not seen any evidence of control yet. I don't know if the delay meant that the bugs were kept over long at your premises which may have had an effect?

Harrod Horticultural did not make us happy as they sent our order to the wrong address, Having rung up about it they told me that they had sent it to the address which the order came from, well they did not as the order had come from me.

Not applicable I have not yet used the product that I purchased as it arrived a little late for my own deadline (going away) and I have not had the need to set it up since returning home. The product remains in the box.

the aluminium fruit cage was flimsy and I have already had to add extra wooden support support to make it withstand winds . it easily is moved out of position and leans sideways the inner netting cage however was good

The product I ordered was out of stock but they didn't tell me when I ordered it. It was a chafer bug trap so needed to be used at a certain time of year. They never let me know it was out of stock and when I didn't receive it I phoned up to ask to be told they didn't have it but will do by the end of the week. This was too late for me to use the product!! They didn't take payment and cancelled the order. The lady I spoke to on the phone was also very pleasant. However overall not the best experience as I feel I should have been told at the time I ordered would not receive the product it time to use it
