“I was so looking forward to receiving my new Dutch hoe, that I actually got my son to watch me open it. Given how expensive it was, I was honestly expecting a really well made tool. It is an absolute piece of junk, the handle isn't even attached straight. The wooden handle isn't sanded down properly or even cut neatly. How the company can justify its price I have no idea - but I'm the mug who fell for it.”

“The ogee garden arch I bought is an elegant addition to the garden. The socket kit is of poor design and almost impossible to use according to the easy sounding instructions. Erecting the arch ended up being a complicated and time consuming job requiring the services of a builder.”

“Trellis took SO long to put up. We don't consider ourselves bad at this sort of thing but the rods were bent and it jut takes such a long time. While they look nice, I think they probably aren't worth the high price tag.”

“The goods appear to be of good quality, however the carrot fly barrier is set to the height of the carrot fly's flight path. Whereas it really needs to be a couple of inches higher, consequently my carrots were savaged by carrot fly! I plan to sew on an extension to the barrier from an old sheet this year to avoid this pest. The clips on the large hoops are not very good and they ping off at the slightest wind. Being black, it is difficult to find them. My partner has 3D printed some better ones that are slightly more rounded in bright red plastic so we can find them after wind!”

“I ordered a plain, metal arch from this Company, just what I was looking for. It is a little lightweight without securing it firmly into the ground, but I ordered some fixing posts as suggested and it worked beautifully. I have four Clematis already growing up it - and sweetpeas ready to help out once the weather stays warm! The service was excellent; I was kept informed about delivery and the package arrived in good order by a very cheerful man. thank you Harrod Horticultural.”

“Ordered a 3 tier 4'x6' Superior raised bed with capping and liner. This is the 13th raised bed ordered over the last 12 years or so. The website and ordering process is simple and lots of options to choose from. Products seem overly priced (and increased 20% over the pandemic) but proceeded based on prior experience. Shipping and delivery prompt (within a week of ordering - most of the time with the courier). On arrival, a significant number of issues with the quality of the order - split corner post, badly damaged planks (prior to packing, so not a transit issue), incorrect fixing brackets, capping badly splintered and finished (where your hands go on the finished product). I get that it is wood and it will have natural defects, but there was an apparent lack of quality control and for the best part of £600 I would expect much better. On the positive side, the customer support team was very helpful in getting this sorted and replacements dispatched. Can only think that an additional few minutes checking the order was up to standard on packing would save frustration with the customer, time spent with customer service and the additional costs incurred by HH in correcting the issue. Advice is that the product (when correct) is very good and customer service excellent - just check the contents thoroughly on arrival for defects or issues.”
