“Placed an order for a border fork an spade a couple of weeks before Christmas. Both items were shown as in stock. Subsequently received emails telling me that there would be a delay of one week for the fork, then a delay of three weeks, then an even longer (indeterminate) delay.”

We appreciate that these delays have caused great inconvenience for our customers, and we are as disappointed as you are with the delays. Whilst most of our products are manufactured in-house by ourselves, regrettably the tools are not. As bought-in products, we are completely in the hands of our suppliers regarding stock dates and sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused by the delay in despatching your order.

“I placed my order on 1/12/2020 because the website said the item was in stock. I have been asked to review the product. I cannot because I still have not received it. Why are you asking me to review something you know you have not dispatched to me?”

Thank you for your order and review. We are very sorry to hear that you encountered problems when dealing with us. It is company policy to keep our website up to date as possible regarding stock availability and also keeping our customers up to date with any delays with orders. While most of our products are manufactured in-house, regrettably the item you ordered is a bought-in product and we are completely in the hands of our suppliers regarding stock dates. We also sincerely apologise for the product review request which you received. Currently our website sends an automated email to all customers 28 days after their order has been placed, so please either ignore this email or retain it until you feel ready to respond. “The service I received was just fine and so were the two Obelisks that I ordered. Excellent. The only thing I would mention is that these items which are designed to live outside were wrapped in non recyclable plastic. Being a garden supplier I would urge you not to do this, as it was not necessary and the plastic was particularly thick and no biodegradable. I hope you don't mind me mentioning this and hope you can change this as I really don't think customers would mind one bit. Thanks Andrew Overton”
