“With my first order, only part of the order was delivered and I had to wait several days for the balance. The first part, for which I was charged immediately, was useless to me without the other parts. It would have been better to withhold parts until the complete order could be delivered.”

“Excellent service, both before and after ordering. I had a few queries about the items I wanted, and the ladies who answered my customer service phone calls were all EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable, and were able to give complete answers to all my (quite detailed) queries. My orders arrived promptly, and were very well packed, and exactly as ordered (there were a lot of intricate small items). All the products seem well made and of good quality - particularly impressed with the steel ground pegs and heavy duty U anchors, which are now doing an excellent job of keeping our newly-erected portable crop cage firmly in position, and the Brussel Sprouts growing inside it well protected.”

We understand that a member of our Customer Services Team has now contacted you to explain that the netting is a diamond mesh net and has to be stretched out at all four corners to achieve the correct rectangular shape. “FRUIT CAGES ORDERED. DIDN'T ARRIVE. NO CONTACT OR EXPLANATION FROM HARROD. I CHASED. CURT EXPLANATION PROVIDED, SOMETHING TO DO WITH LACK OF STEEL....! GOODS FINALLY SENT AND SATISFACTORY. NO APOLOGY.”

“Not so much a review but suggestions. Fruit cage- for the 1st two years marvellous, this year terrible - plastic side mesh failed at the bottom allowing bird ingress, suggest adding alternative of galvanised wire netting - my task for winter cost £45. Big wooden raised bed already showing signs of rotting - could be I've watered too much. Black hoops and other plant supports excellent. Your records should tell you when items were purchase”

“Very prompt delivery. Although the net is very lightweight, it is also very stretchy, so was more difficult to fix on the roof of my fruit cage than other stiffer types. I had to mark the half-way point down each side with coloured string, to help fix the middle section, before stretching to the corners, and have left these markers in place for future reference. It is important to allow at least a meter extra to overlap the sides, and I needed lots of hooks where its stretchiness prevented it from laying flat onto the cage side netting, as I know squirrels are capable of lifting anything loose and sliding under the roof net and over the side nets. I am a bit concerned about its resistance to squirrels, hence only four stars rather than five.”

“Having ordered a fruit cage for my raspberry plants took advantage of the discount offer to order two more. On checking the contents on delivery found six screws missing from one cage. Emailed customer services and missing parts arrived in post quickly. Very pleased with product and response of customer service team.”
